Water Damage in Forest Park, Ohio
Water damage occurred in the finished basement of this home in Forest Park, Ohio and SERVPRO of Northwest Cincinnati was called for water mitigation services. A plumbing issue caused the toilet, shower and floor drains to backup. After assessing the damage, our water technicians determined that this was a category 3, class 2 water loss. Category 3 means that the water is highly contaminated. It is the dirtiest category for water damage. The class refers to the level of the water damage. A class 2 rating means an entire room with carpet and padding is affected by a large amount of water. Because this was a category 3 loss, the carpet was non-salvageable and had to be removed. Along with the carpeting, the wet padding and insulation were also all removed and bagged for disposal. The before photo shows the basement during this process and the after photo shows the basement after the carpeting and padding was removed.
