Flooded Basement in Cincinnati, Ohio

The basement of this home in Cincinnati, Ohio flooded when a drain backed up causing water damage to the finished family room area. The SERVPRO of Northwest Cincinnati water technicians extracted the water from the carpeted floor and then lifted the carpet to remove and dispose of the wet pad underneath. The hard surface floor was thoroughly cleaned and an anti-microbial agent was applied. This helps prevent mold growth and kill any bacteria that may be present following the water damage. Dehumidifiers and airmovers were placed in the area so that it could be dried completely. And finally, once the dry out was complete, the carpet was cleaned and deodorized, a new pad was installed and the carpet was relayed. Once SERVPRO of Northwest Cincinnati completed the project, the basement looked as good as new!
