Broken Sprinkler Pipe Causes Water Damage in Fairfield, Ohio

A pipe burst in the sprinkler system of this commercial property in Fairfield, Ohio causing water damage throughout several areas of the building. Vinyl flooring, drywall walls with wallpaper and ceiling tiles were all damaged and in need of dry out services. This property is a nursing home facility and required prompt and speedy service. After receiving the call, the SERVPRO of Northwest Cincinnati water technicians were onsite in less than two hours. Once onsite, they assessed the damage and began the restoration process. The first photo shows the containment barrier that was installed during the process. The technicians removed wet ceiling tile, insulation, and baseboards and bagged all the debris for disposal. They drilled holes in the lower portions of the walls in order to help promote drying of the wall cavities. They set up and monitored the drying equipment until the dry out process was complete.
