Water Damage in Greenhills, Ohio

The owner of this home in Greenhills, Ohio contacted SERVPRO of Northwest Cincinnati for water restoration services. The cause of the water damage was a failing sump pump during heavy rains. The finished lower level was left with standing water and damaged carpet, padding, and walls. In order to begin the restoration process, our water technicians needed to remove the contents from the affected area. They then extracted water from the floors and it was determined that the carpet and padding was non-salvageable. They removed the carpet and padding as well as the baseboards and bagged the debris for disposal. In order to prevent a future mold issue, an anti-microbial agent was applied to the hard surfaces. Industrial strength air movers and dehumidifiers were placed in the affected area until the dry out process was complete. The home was then ready for structural repairs to begin.
