Thermal Imaging Used to Detect Water Damage in Cincinnati, Ohio Home
Water damage occurred in this Cincinnati, Ohio home and the finished basement was affected. The carpeting, padding, drywall and baseboards in the basement were all damaged. For this water mitigation job, SERVPRO of Northwest Cincinnati used thermal imaging to help assess the damage. Thermal imaging detects temperature changes in an area. And the changes in temperature can indicate where moisture is present. If there are darker areas in the thermal image, this means that moisture may be present. The photos show a regular photo and a thermal image of the affected area of the basement. It is clear in the thermal image where the darker areas and thus, the moisture, are present in the basement.
